Iván Repila is a Spanish writer, editor and founding partner of MasMédula Ediciones. His works include El Aliado (Booket, 2020) The Boy Who Stole Attila's Horse (Pushkin, 2015) and Una comedia canalla (Libros del silencio, 2012).


Sophie Hughes is a literary translator who works chiefly from Spanish to English. She is known for her translations of writers including Fernanda Melchor, Rodrigo Hasbún and Alia Trabucco Zerán. Hughes was shortlisted for the National Book Award for Translated Literature for her translation of Melchor’s Hurricane Season (New Directions, 2020).
