is a Bosnian and Croatian writer and journalist. His most recent works to appear in translation are Kin (Archipelago, 2021) and The Walnut Mansion (Yale, 2017). He is the recipient of the Erich Maria Remarque Peace Prize and the Angelus Central European Literature Award. Jergović writes a regular column for the Croatian daily Jutarnji list and contributes to the Serbian daily Politika.
is the translator of Dubravka Ugrešic´’s Karaoke Culture (Open Letter, 2011) and Europe in Sepia (Open Letter, 2014), and of Miljenko Jergovic´’s Mama Leone (Archipelago, 2013). He is the author of Writing Postcommunism: Towards a Literature of the East European Ruins (Palgrave, 2013).
