Esther Kinsky is the author of six volumes of poetry and four novels, most recently Seeing Further (Fitzcarraldo, 2024). Her novel Grove (Fitzcarraldo, 2020) won the 2018 Leipzig Book Fair Prize. Kinsky has translated many notable English and Polish writers into German, including John Clare, Henry David Thoreau and Olga Tokarczuk.


Iain Galbraith is a Scottish poet, translator, editor, and essayist. His translations include works by W.G. Sebald, Esther Kinsky and Ulrike Draesner. His awards include the Stephen Spender Prize (2014), Popescu European Poetry Translation Prize (2015), and the Schlegel-Tieck Prize (2016 and 2019).
