Bill Knott (1940–2014) is the author of over a dozen poetry collections, including The Naomi Poems, Book One: Corpse and Beans (Big Table, 1968), Outremer (University of Iowa Press, 1989) and The Unsubscriber (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2004). He received the Iowa Poetry Prize, a Guggenheim Fellowship and two NEA fellowships. Knott taught at Emerson College in Boston for over twenty-five years.
